Julia currently lives in Brooklyn, NY and has been playing and singing globally and around the city at venues like Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, Birdland, Iridium, Rockwood Music Hall, Joe's Pub, Bowery Ballroom, The Carlyle and Highline Ballroom. She is honored to have shared the stage and/or recorded with artists such as Ben Platt, Sara Bareilles, Colbie Caillat, Bokante, Grace Kelly, Antonio Sanchez, Jane Monheit, Vaneese Thomas, Lew Soloff, Peter Eldridge, Nir Felder, Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child, Frank Wildhorn, Melissa McMillan, and The Doo Wop Project. She has done TV work with NBC's Smash, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Today Show, ABC's The Katie Show, Live with Kelly and Good Morning America. She has also played on Broadway shows Hamilton, The Cher Show, Mamma Mia!, Jesus Christ Superstar, Ghost and Matilda.
Raised in Nyack, NY Julia was inspired to play bass through her talented and supportive father, Paul Adamy, with whom she studied in high school. She then went on to get a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas, where she took lessons with Lynn Seaton and Jeff Bradetich.
